Seltzy

The people of Canada wanted Bud Light Seltzer. And in an ever-complicated world when it comes to travel and restrictions, the product needed a steward to get there.
Enter Seltzy.

The gigantic can mascot for the new fizzy hard beverage has had quite a journey. Seltzy started out as a simple brand mascot but quickly gained internet stardom and eventually became a Winnipeg Jets superfan.
As a responsible citizen following safety protocols for the COVID-19 pandemic, Seltzy quarantined for 14 days after crossing the border.
The big can spent quarantine as most anyone else did, making videos to share on social media, binge-watching streaming services, putting together puzzles and even tried a hand at poetry.
Post-quarantine, Seltzy hit the town and quickly captured the hearts of Winnipeg Jets fans.

Of course, Seltzy is the perfect color can
for the Jets "whiteout" during home games
. The affection for Seltzy in Winnipeg was very real.
Photos and videos of Seltzy at Jets playoff games were wildly popular on the internet.

When the Jets season came to an end at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Second Round, Selzty was hurting and penned a heartfelt letter to fellow fans.

Seltzy even took the time to respond to fans individually where possible.

After it all, the Jets have gained a lifelong fan in Seltzy.
"Don't worry," Seltzy wrote in the letter. "When that puck hits centre ice for the 2021-22 NHL season opener at Bell MTS Place, I'll be there, spinning my towel with the rest of the Jets fans."
