The Pittsburgh Penguins stayed alive Tuesday with a win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final, but they will not have new fan Shawn Michaels cheering them on in person for Game 7.
Michaels tweeted he would be watching the decisive game between the Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports) but would not be in attendance at Consol Energy Center.

The former WWE superstar attended his first NHL game as a guest of the Penguins for Game 5 in Pittsburgh on Sunday. The Penguins lost to the Lightning 4-3 in overtime.
Michaels, who was known during his wrestling days as "The Heartbreak Kid" or "HBK," became a Penguins fan after they tweeted at him upon naming their line of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel "The HBK Line."
The Penguins extended a Game 7 invitation to actress Mindy Kaling of "The Mindy Project," but she has not yet responded. Kaling announced Sunday on Twitter she would be rooting for Pittsburgh after its social media team tweeted a GIF of her dancing to celebrate a goal during Game 5.
