Seth Jones tweeted that he skated Sunday, the first time the Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman was on the ice since sustaining a sprain and hairline fracture of his ankle against the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 8.

He is permitted to skate while team facilities are closed due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus because his injury occurred prior to the NHL season being paused March 12.
The injury occurred when Jones fell into the net during the first period of the game. He had surgery Feb. 11 and was expected to be out 8-10 weeks.
Jones posted an image of himself going on the ice on his social media accounts Sunday.

Jones has 30 points (six goals, 24 assists) in 56 games, and his average of 25:17 of ice time per game is seventh among NHL defensemen.
