MTL@OTT: Senators pay tribute to a hockey legend

The Ottawa Senators honored Montreal Canadiens legend Guy Lafleur before puck drop Saturday at the Canadian Tire Centre.

A sellout crowd of half Senators fans and half Canadiens fans chanted "Guy! Guy! Guy!" as a slideshow of pictures of Lafleur's career played on the big screen.
It was the first game for the Canadiens since Lafleur's death on Friday after a
three-year battle with cancer
. He was 70. The crowd stood for a moment of silence before the Canadian national anthem.
The Canadiens wore special patches with Lafleur's number 10 on them for the game.

Lafleur scored 1,246 points (518 goals, 728 assists) in 961 games from 1971-85. He was the leading scorer in Montreal's run to four consecutive Stanley Cup championships from 1976-79.
