NEW YORK -- Seattle Kraken defenseman **Ville Ottavainen** has been fined $2,190.72, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for serving as the aggressor in an altercation with Calgary Flames forward **Brennan Othmann** during NHL Preseason Game No. 38 in Seattle on Thursday, Sept. 24, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 7:22 of the second period. Ottavainen was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting as well as a game misconduct under Rule 46.2 (Aggressor).
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
