Murray missed Pittsburgh's 2-1 loss against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday because of an upper-body injury, but practiced Saturday and took part in the morning skate Sunday.
The Red Wings ended a three-game losing streak (0-3-0) with a 3-2 shootout victory against the New York Rangers on Friday. They're trying to win consecutive home games for second time this season; they also did it Nov. 15-17.

Sprong was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Saturday and will play his first NHL game since Dec. 26, 2015. He has 28 points (18 goals, 10 assists) in 29 AHL games. … Letang and Schultz took part in an optional morning skate but won't play. … Mantha will miss his second straight game because a lower-body injury. He hopes to return against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday. With Mantha out the Red Wings likely will go with seven defensemen and 11 forwards, which they did against the Rangers.
