VOORHEES, N.J. -- The Philadelphia Flyers could tie an NHL record by using their seventh goalie in the same season when they host the Calgary Flames at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday (1 p.m. ET; NHLN, NBCSP, SNW, NHL.TV).

If Mike McKenna, who was claimed on waivers from the Vancouver Canucks on Friday, gets into the game, Philadelphia would match something previously done by the 1989-90 Quebec Nordiques, the 2002-03 St. Louis Blues and the 2007-08 Los Angeles Kings.
Carter Hart will start against the Flames, with McKenna expected to be the backup.
Michal Neuvirth, who made 23 saves in a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, is day to day with a lower-body injury.
Neuvirth joins Brian Elliott (lower body) and Anthony Stolarz (lower body) on Philadelphia's list of injured goalies.
Consistency in net has been an issue for the Flyers (15-20-5) all season, and one reason they've lost five straight games (0-4-1) and are last in the Metropolitan Division with 35 points, 14 behind the third-place Columbus Blue Jackets.
Elliott leads the Flyers with 14 games but has been out since Nov. 15. Elliott is expected to return to practice in the next 10-14 days, general manager Chuck Fletcher said Thursday.
Calvin Pickard is second on the Flyers with 11 games but was lost to the Arizona Coyotes on waivers Nov. 29.
Philadelphia also has used Stolarz (nine games) and Alex Lyon (two games); each began the season in the AHL. Stolarz started nine straight games from Nov. 24-Dec. 15 but hasn't played since. Fletcher said Stolarz could begin skating sometime during the weekend.
Hart, 20, is 2-3-0 with a 2.78 goals-against average and .899 save percentage in five games. When he made his NHL debut against the Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 18, he became the Flyers' sixth starter in their 32nd game; no NHL team had ever used that many starting goalies in their first 35 games.
Now in comes McKenna, 35. The Flyers are his third team in four days; he was traded to the Canucks by the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday. He is 1-4-1 with a 3.96 GAA and .897 save percentage in six games; his win came against Philadelphia on Nov. 27.
"Mike provides our organization added depth as we continue to battle injuries at the goaltending position," Fletcher said. "He is a veteran goaltender with a tremendous amount of professional experience."
The Flyers will be his eighth NHL organization, including his short stint with Vancouver. He also has played extensively in the American Hockey League and ECHL during a 14-season professional career.
"I've played for teams in the American league where we've probably used five or six goaltenders in a season ... but the NHL it's obviously very rare," McKenna said. "It's unique, but you can't predict anything in this game. It's what reality is right now. I'm going to come in and do my best job."
Despite the issues in goal, the Flyers refuse to allow it to be an excuse.
"We're all in this together," forward Wayne Simmonds said. "You can't single out one single position, one single player. It's all for one and one for all. We win as a team, we lose as a team. Goaltending's not the issue."
