Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Andrew MacDonald will miss 4-6 weeks because of a lower-body injury.
MacDonald appeared to be injured blocking a shot in the third period of a 2-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. He finished the game, had six blocked shots and played 22:03, second on the Flyers. MacDonald, an alternate captain, has one goal in eight games this season and is third in the team in ice time per game (19:35).
