There will always be a special place for Chicago in
Patrick Kane
's heart.

The veteran forward took to Twitter to thank the Chicago Blackhawks and their fans after being
traded to the New York Rangers in a three-team trade which also included the Arizona Coyotes
, on Tuesday.
Kane thanked the Blackhawks, fans and his teammates for their love and support of him and his family since being drafted by Chicago in 2007. He posted the message alongside an edited photo of himself saluting with his stick in the Chicago city landscape surrounded by the three Stanley Cups he won with the organization.

The Blackhawks posted their own thank you post and a tribute video featuring highlights from the 16 seasons Kane spent in Chicago.

Kane is second in Blackhawks history in points (1,225) and assists (779) and third in goals (604). He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in the 2012-2013 season and the Hart Memorial Trophy, the Art Ross Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award for the 2015-16 season.
