Pat Sajak took the stage Saturday, and no one even needed to spin or buy a vowel.

The Washington Capitals season ticket holder and longtime host of the game show "Wheel of Fortune," announced the starting lineups before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between Washington and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Sajak has been a Capitals season ticket holder since 2005-06 and took the ice clad in a red Washington pullover. He gave a brief history of his Capitals fandom before reading off the starters for the first Cup Final game at Capital One Arena since 1998.
"We have seen great teams, great players, great moments and we have seen triumph and we have also seen disappointment," Sajak said, addressing the sold-out crowd. "But this season, this team, this playoff run surpassed it all."

Sajak also has season tickets for the Los Angeles Kings, since he has recorded episodes of "Wheel of Fortune" for more than 25 years in Los Angeles. He has seen the evolution of hockey in the U.S. capital, particularly since Washington has had forward Alex Ovechkin on its side.
"It really began with Ovechkin," Sajak said on NHL Network before Game 3. "The Caps had a pretty good fan base, but when he came, when that team was built, now you can't find a seat. It was not the case when we started coming, there were a lot of empty seats."
Sajak has also been compelled by the Cup Final thus far.
"This playoff series thus far has been just breathtaking," Sajak said. "We have enjoyed every minute of it; these are two great teams."
