Luongo's new goalie mask is as good as gold

One of the most colorful players in the NHL has dialed the colors down on his mask.

Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo's new lid hit Twitter on Thursday and it is a radically different look.
It features just three colors, white, gold and navy blue.

Luongo's number 1 is on the chin and the Panthers crest is etched on the top. Both are in shiny gold, as is the inside trim under the facemask.
The facemask itself and some of the outlining on the graphics is in navy blue. The rest of the mask is white, with stenciling of the Florida sun on one side and the Panthers logo on the other in different shades of white.
It's a big departure from Luongo masks of the past, but is still as eye-catching as the others.
