On Jan. 1, the NHL introduced the first 33 members of the 100 Greatest NHL Players presented by Molson Canadian. The remaining 67 will be revealed at NHL100 presented by GEICO on Jan. 27 in Los Angeles as part of 2017 NHL Honda All-Star Weekend.

As part of the Centennial Celebration, renowned Canadian artist Tony Harris, based in Ottawa, will paint original portraits of each of the 100 players, who were chosen by a Blue Ribbon Panel.

Harris' work will capture the character and spirit of each player in a one-of-a-kind 11-by-14 canvas. The oil-based paintings then will be digitized and posted online for fans around the world to experience and share.

NHL.com will reveal two of the portraits each Monday in 2017. The first installment features Detroit Red Wings forward Ted Lindsay and Toronto Maple Leafs center Dave Keon.

The next two portraits will be revealed on Monday, Jan. 30 -- with portraits unveiled every Monday until all 100 are revealed. Those portraits will spotlight Boston Bruins legend and recently deceased 100 Greatest NHL Player Milt Schmidt as well as Montreal Canadiens legend and record-holder for the most Stanley Cup championships as a player (11) Henri Richard.
