Nathan Walker got a long distance phone call on Sunday. On the other end of the line was Australia's Prime Minister.

After making history as the first Australian player in the history of the NHL, Walker received a congratulatory call from Malcolm Turnbull, the head of Parliament back in his native land.

Walker's incredible debut
included a groundswell of fan support, a teary reaction from his mother, Ceri, one of the greatest hastags in recent memory [#GDayNate] and, even his first NHL goal.
The Capitals tweeted a video of the call, in which Walker admitted to the Prime Minister that he used his backside to pot his first puck.
"Fair enough," Turnbull said with a laugh.

Life just keeps getting more unbelievable for Walker, who had an ear-to-ear grin after the call concluded.
And speaking of unbelievable, the Prime Minister suggested that Walker keep a relationship with Australia's ambassador to the United States. His name is Joe Hockey.
