Nashville leads the Winnipeg Jets by eight points for first place in the Central Division, and is five points ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights for the best record in the Western Conference.
Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet rejoined Arizona on Thursday and will coach against the Predators. Tocchet took a leave of absence Monday to be with his mother, Norma, who died Wednesday in Markham, Ontario, from brain cancer at age 93.
The Coyotes, who were eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff contention Wednesday, are 10-3-1 in their past 14 games.
