Colorado Avalanche forwards Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon will each miss at least two more games with knee injuries, the Avalanche announced Sunday.
Colorado, which begins a two-game road trip Monday at the Nashville Predators (8 p.m. ET; ALT, FS-TN, NHL.TV), is five points behind the Minnesota Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference, but have a game in hand. The Avalanche have lost two straight following a three-game winning streak, including a 4-0 loss to the Wild at Pepsi Center on Saturday.

The Avalanche are 2-2-0 without Duchene, who was injured March 16 at the Vancouver Canucks, and are 1-2-0 without MacKinnon since he was injured two days later at the Calgary Flames.
Duchene leads the Avalanche with 56 points (29 goals, 27 assists). MacKinnon is second with 52 (21 goals, 31 assists).
Forward Andrew Agozzino and defenseman Nikita Zadorov on Sunday were recalled from San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
