An Arizona family wasn't going to let anything get in their way of getting to the 2023 Discover NHL Winter Classic.
The Maher family drove over 2,600 miles from Phoenix to Boston for the marquee event at Fenway Park after their flight was canceled.
Tim and Kelley Maher bought Winter Classic tickets as a Christmas present for their oldest son, Beauwin, who is a senior in high school. They decided to turn the gift into one last family trip with their four kids before their oldest graduated.
The Mahers made it to Fenway and toured the iconic stadium before the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins.
The memories will last a lifetime.
