Sharks goaltender Martin Jones, who played for the Kings from 2013-15, will try to bounce back after a rough game Tuesday in a 5-3 home loss to the Flyers. Jones gave up four goals, three on the power play, on 30 shots. Jones is 6-2-2 with a 2.18 goals-against average and .922 save percentage in 10 games against the Kings.

Players to watch

Kings forward Nic Dowd is expected to make his season debut, replacing right wing Jonny Brodzinski on the third line. Left wing Michael Cammalleri, center Adrian Kempe and Brodzinski combined for no goals or assists against the Flyers, and Kings coach John Stevens said he needs more production from his third line.
Sharks forward Kevin Labanc had two goals against Philadelphia but was in the penalty box for all three of the Flyers' power-play goals. Labanc, who skated at left wing on the top line with center Joe Thornton and right wing Joe Pavelski, tied for the Sharks lead in shots (five).

They said it

"I'm really excited. I'm going to try to bring a lot of energy and try to make some plays and be productive out there in a lot of different ways." -- Dowd
"He competes really, really hard. I think traffic is key, making him move, making him feel a little bit uncomfortable is the way to go. He challenges the shooter very, very hard." -- Sharks forward Jannik Hansen on Quick
