Justin Bieber helps Jari Kurri prep for alumni game

Pop superstar Justin Bieber takes his hockey stick and skates wherever he goes on his worldwide tours. This time he hit the ice at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland with Jokerit of the KHL and their general manager, Jari Kurri.

Kurri said the practice was fast with Bieber on the ice and that it served as a good warmup while he prepares for the Edmonton Oilers' alumni game against the Winnipeg Jets alumni for the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic at Investors Group Field on Oct. 23.

Q: Jari, you were on ice with Justin Bieber. How was it?
Kurri: It was fast. A good practice, and it was fun. A guy from Canada comes over, he's a huge hockey fan and follows hockey. Now he's touring Europe, and he has his own skates and stick with him. He tries to get a chance to skate at least once a week. He likes to play hockey, and it's obvious he's played before. It was a good practice for me, after all, a month from now I'll go to Winnipeg to play the alumni game.
Q: What kind of a person is he?
Kurri:He's a very focused, young guy. He's seen a lot, experienced a lot, very focused. Calmed down. He seemed to enjoy the skate, he was very friendly, he talked with players, greeted them, chatted with them, asked how they are. Very positive.
Q: What about his career choice? Is it better for him to be a musician than a hockey player?
