Ilya Mikheyev TBL contract

Ilya Mikheyev signed a four-year, $15.4 million contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $3.85 million.

The 31-year-old forward had 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists) in 77 games for the Chicago Blackhawks last season.

Signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2019, Mikheyev has 201 points (98 goals, 103 assists) in 427 regular-season games for the Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Blackhawks and four points (two goals, two assists) in 30 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Tampa Bay also signed Jeffrey Viel to a five-year, $12.5 million contract ($2.5 million AAV).

The 29-year-old forward had 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 35 regular-season games and four points (two goals, two assists) in 12 playoff games for the Anaheim Ducks. He was held without a point in 10 games with the Boston Bruins.

Viel has 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 99 games with the San Jose Sharks, Bruins and Ducks.
