Mrazek had not played since he injured his thumb, requiring surgery, in a game back on January 30. He was off to a red-hot start, posting a 0.99 goals against average and .955 save percentage in four games.
Mrazek's return on Sunday was as successful as can be for a goalie. He stopped all 28 shots he faced to earn the shutout in a 1-0 win against the Dallas Stars at PNC Arena.
Jordan, of course, has a connection to the North Carolina area. He played basketball for three years at the University of North Carolina in nearby Chapel Hill. Currently, he is the majority owner of the Hurricanes in-state NBA counterpart, the Charlotte Hornets.
