Hank split jersey

Even just a digital mockup of his number in the rafters was enough to make Henrik Lundqvist emotional.

The longtime New York Rangers goalie, who announced his
retirement on Friday
, couldn't help but enjoy a post from his former team.

The Rangers shared a GIF of a banner in the rafters of Madison Square Garden, adorned with Lundqvist's last name and his number 30.
The 2012 Vezina Trophy winner tweeted his approval.

"I have probably looked at this 10 times now and I can't believe it.. I'm so happy, proud and extremely grateful. Can't wait to see you guys back."
Lunqvist is the Rangers career leader in wins (459), shutouts (67), saves (23,509) and has played and started the most games in net (887, 752 starts) by wide margins. The Rangers will retire No. 30 before their game against the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 28.
