Winning a championship is great, but nothing caps it quite like a late-night fast food run.

The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League celebrated their Calder Cup championship Tuesday by spending more than $400 at a local McDonald's.

The Detroit Red Wings' affiliate won their second Calder Cup title in five seasons with a 4-3 win in Game 6 against the Syracuse Crunch. The Griffins also made sure to show appreciation for the fast-food chain's hospitality.

Grand Rapids will actually cap the celebration by honoring the Griffins with a championship parade Friday.
