Frozen Four title game 4.6

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Montreal Canadiens prospect Jake Evans helped the Notre Dame Fighting Irish rally from a 2-0 deficit to lead Notre Dame past Michigan 4-3 in the Frozen Four semifinals on Thursday.
Notre Dame will play the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in the championship game on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center (7:30 ET; ESPN). The game will feature 12 players drafted by NHL teams.

Evans, captain of the Irish squad and a seventh-round selection (No. 207) by Montreal in the 2014 NHL Draft, scored with 5.2 seconds remaining in the third period. He finished with three points (two goals, one assist) and leads Notre Dame with 13 goals and a team-leading 32 assists and 45 points in 39 games in his senior campaign.

"I know that Jake, he's had a great year and he's had an even better year probably as captain of this team," Irish coach Jeff Jackson said. "When you get to this time of the year, you rely on your upperclassmen to be there at the most important times of the game. That's what great players do."
The championship game will feature a dozen drafted players, six from Notre Dame, six from Minnesota Duluth.
Notre Dame's contingent is led by two second-rounders, forward Cam Morrison (Colorado Avalanche, 2014, No. 40) and defenseman Andrew Peeke (Columbus Blue Jackets, 2016, No. 34). Forward Riley Tufte (Dallas Stars, 2016, No. 25) leads the six-player delegation from UMD.
Minnesota Duluth topped Ohio State University in the first semifinal game on Thursday, 2-1, to advance to their second straight NCAA championship game.
UMD lost to Denver University 3-2 in the 2017 championship.
Tufte, who led the Bulldogs in scoring with 16 goals this season, had one shot. He briefly left the game during the first period after a center-ice hit to his lower leg.
He admitted to a nagging ankle injury that's plagued him all season, but insisted it was nothing serious.
Winnipeg Jets prospect, defenseman Dylan Samberg blocked three shots in the victory. The Jets selected Samberg in the second round (No. 43) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
