The New York Islanders returned home on Friday and had a surprise waiting for them.
After the team was eliminated in overtime of Game 6 by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, they flew home from the Edmonton bubble to a cavalcade of fans waiting for them.

Fans gathered outside a fence and chanted an applauded as Islanders players departed the plane and later as the team bus pulled away. Islanders forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau shared the love with Islanders fans.
