Early Intermission: COL @ ANA - 10:12 - Second Period

At 10:12 of the second period in the Avalanche/Ducks game, a portion of the glass in Anaheim's zone broke as a result of a shot. On-ice officials decided to proceed to intermission under Rule 77.3, which states, in part, that "if a delay takes place with more than five (5) minutes remaining in the first or second period, the Referee will order the next regular intermission to be taken."The remaining 9:48 of the second period will now be played. Teams will then stay on their benches during a dry scrape of the entire ice, followed immediately by the third period.
