DraftKings outlook: Capitals at Penguins, Game 4

Breakout candidate:
Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington Capitals ($6,400)
Kuznetsov, priced third among centers, has failed to carry over his regular-season success with two points in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games. That said, he's long overdue for a multipoint game, which would go a long way in helping the Capitals even their Eastern Conference Second Round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kuznetsov had six shots on goal in Game 3 for 3.0 DraftKings points, the sixth time in nine playoff games he's had three or more. He has 29 SOG in nine playoff games, tied for 10th in the NHL and third among players who have scored one playoff goal or fewer. He had 36 points in 41 regular-season road games (tied for ninth in League).

Steady performer:
Nick Bonino, Pittsburgh Penguins ($5,100)
Bonino has at least one point in seven of the Penguins' eight playoff games, tied for the second-most such games in the League behind Colin Wilson of the Nashville Predators (eight). The Penguins center has risen from $4,400 on April 13 to $5,100 for Game 4 of the series against the Capitals. He has a five-game point streak, totaling one goal and five assists alongside Phil Kessel and the resurgent Carl Hagelin at even strength. He was a point-per-game player (16 points in 16 games) in the final month of the regular season as well, and remains a bargain tied for 24th in price among forwards. Bonino has six points, 16 blocks and 11 SOG for 3.4 DraftKings points per contest through eight games against Washington in the regular season and playoffs combined.

Injury watch:
Marcus Johansson, Washington Capitals ($4,500)
Johansson, who sustained an upper-body injury in Game 3 on the hit from Kris Letang that led to the defenseman's one-game suspension, returned to the game and will be available for Game 4. He did not have a point in more than 18 minutes of ice time, but did have six SOG and one block for 3.5 DraftKings points. With such peripheral category potential and seven points (two goals, five assists) in nine games this postseason, he's a glaring value pick (priced 20th among wings). He's usually on the second line with Kuznetsov and Justin Williams, but is more dangerous on the Capitals' top power-play unit with Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Co. He has five playoff power-play points (tied for second in the NHL).

Sleeper candidate:
Trevor Daley, Pittsburgh Penguins ($4,500)
With Letang banned for Game 4, the onus will be on Daley to hold down the fort on the Penguins top power-play unit with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kessel and Patric Hornqvist. Daley has four assists in the postseason, one on the power play, but is still looking for his first goal despite 16 SOG in eight playoff games. He's averaging 22:26 per game, but DFS owners can expect him to see far greater usage in Game 4. He has 11 blocks and covers each of the three major DraftKings categories. He had 22 points in 53 regular-season games with the Penguins, including seven on the power play.

Better goalie option:
Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals ($8,600)

Penguins rookie Matt Murray stole the show in Game 3, stopping 47 of 49 shots faced. Though Brian Elliott of the St. Louis Blues is probably the safest option out there for Wednesday/Thursday contests, the Capitals are in danger of falling into a 3-1 series hole in Game 4, meaning Holtby should be at his best. He has a .922 save percentage in the series and Washington is bound to eventually convert on more of its chances if it puts forth the heavy shot volume we saw in Game 3 against Pittsburgh and Game 5 of the first round against the Philadelphia Flyers (no goals on 44 SOG). In road games, Holtby was 23-6-4 in the regular season and is 2-2 with a .943 SV% and one shutout in the postseason.
