Each day this season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will provide daily picks for DraftKings NHL contests. This list of targets includes expensive and value options at each position to help you build a winning roster.
C - Nazem Kadri, TOR ($5,500)
Kadri is riding a three-game point streak entering Tuesday and is averaging 3.9 DraftKings points per game over his past 10, thanks largely to a high shots volume (35). He's playing on a line separate from Auston Matthews, Mitchell Marner and William Nylander, but has been one of the Toronto Maple Leafs' most consistent scorers playing with Leo Komarov and Nikita Soshnikov. The Calgary Flames will have their hands full against Toronto's young forwards, so look for the two-way center to produce at least a point with multiple SOG against a vulnerable opponent.

C - Nick Bonino, PIT ($4,200)
Bonino is back with familiar linemates Phil Kessel ($6,600) and Carl Hagelin ($4,500), and has three assists, five blocks and nine SOG in his past three games (4.3 DraftKings points per game). He's averaging 2.9 DraftKings points per game on the road compared to 1.8 at home, and has a favorable matchup against the New York Islanders, who are allowing the fourth-most DraftKings points to opposing centers. The Islanders will likely be overmatched against Pittsburgh's top centers Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, so Bonino could fly under the radar and have a multipoint game.
W - Tyler Toffoli, LAK ($6,100)
Toffoli scored and had five SOG on Oct. 12 and has 11 points in 16 regular-season games against the San Jose Sharks. He's flanking red-hot center Jeff Carter ($7,000), who has five goals, three assists and 25 SOG in his past five games. It will cost you a fortune to stack them, but Toffoli is priced in the middle tier and has been consistently productive at home (3.1 DraftKings points) and on the road (3.2) for the Los Angeles Kings.
W - Joonas Donskoi, SJS ($3,800)
Donskoi has had a disappointing season, but always seems to bring his best stuff against the Kings; he has four points in five regular-season games against Los Angeles (one assist, three SOG on Oct. 12) and had three points in five games against the Kings in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He's been a fixture playing with center Logan Couture ($6,700) at even strength and is priced $1,300 above the DraftKings minimum, making him a logical choice to round out your lineup.

D - Kris Letang, PIT ($7,100)
Top-priced defenseman Brent Burns ($8,600) and the Sharks are on the second game of a back-to-back, so it makes more sense to opt for the cheaper Letang, who has an easier matchup against the Islanders. He has 25 points, 45 blocks and 104 SOG in 44 career regular-season games against New York, including a goal, an assist, two blocks and five SOG against the Islanders at Barclays Center on Nov. 18.
D - Jake Muzzin, LAK ($4,600)
Muzzin is averaging 3.4 DraftKings points per game at Staples Center this season and has provided reliable coverage of blocks (36) and SOG (53) in 22 games. He has points in three of his past four games with multiple SOG in each, and is bound to eventually see a scoring spike playing on the Kings' first power-play unit with Drew Doughty and Co.
G - Matt Murray, PIT ($8,400)
Murray is the slam-dunk goalie play of the night if he starts on the road against the Islanders. He and Marc-Andre Fleury are going for the same price because of New York's offensive struggles (2.38 goals per game; 22nd in NHL). Murray will have high ownership if he gets the call, but he's the logical cash-game play against the Islanders, whom he's 2-0-0 (one shutout) against in his career with 44 saves on 46 shots faced.
G - Peter Budaj, LAK ($7,600)
The glaring DFS value pick among goalies is Budaj, who has won five straight and is 9-1-0 at home this season. He goes up against the Sharks, who are allowing the fifth-most DraftKings points to opposing goalies. San Jose was the best road team in the NHL last season (28-10-3), but has regressed this season (5-6-1).
