The Rangers have points in six straight home games, but only two wins in the stretch (2-0-4). They have won three of 13 games (3-6-4) since Nov. 23.
Korpisalo will start his first game since Dec. 11, when he allowed three goals in a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Columbus hasn't lost in regulation since, going 5-0-1 behind goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, the NHL's First Star of the Week last week.
Korpisalo is 5-2-2 with a 3.54 goals-against average and .885 save percentage in 12 appearances this season. He allowed four goals in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Rangers at Nationwide Arena on Nov. 10.

Players to watch

Blue Jackets right wing Cam Atkinson has four goals in a three-game point streak. He has 17 goals in 20 games since Nov. 10.
Rangers center Kevin Hayes carries a career-long seven-game point streak into the game. He has 13 points (five goals, eight assists) during the streak.

Status report

Shattenkirk, McLeod and Fast participated in the morning skate. They're all day-to-day and could return Saturday at the Nashville Predators, Quinn said.
