Dallas Stars center Cody Eakin will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday after charging New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist during their game Thursday.
Eakin received a five-minute major and game misconduct at 9:19 of the first period. Lundqvist left the ice and went to the dressing room for evaluation, but returned 5:41 later after being relieved by Antti Raanta and finished the Rangers 2-0 victory at American Airlines Center. Eakin has one assist in 14 games this season.
