Alex Ovechkin recorded the 1,100th point of his NHL career in the Washington Capitals 5-2 win against the Minnesota Wild.The point came after Ovechkin broke up a play in his own end which led to Tom Wilson's empty-net goal late in the third period.Ovechkin, Washington's all-time leading scorer, has 592 goals and 508 assists in 978 games during his NHL career.
