Next Gen Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks are already training their next generation of leaders.

The organization held Next Generation Night during the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Rogers Arena on Sunday, where young fans shadowed arena employees to learn about the ins and outs of hockey operations. The Canucks celebrated with 12 local minor hockey associations in attendance, in addition to the talented next generation of Canucks fans, with cameos from a kid host, announcer and performers.

In the booth was Don Andrews and his son Maxwell. It was the first time the Canucks had a father-son duo announce a game.

Another young fan Michaella sang the Canadian national anthem before puck drop.

Whether it's hockey players, broadcasters or performers, the Canucks are starting them young.
