Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday for a dangerous trip against Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall.
The incident occurred at 12:27 of the first period of the game at TD Garden. Marchand was not penalized on the play.
The Bruins defeated the Red Wings 4-3 in overtime.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: dangerous trip. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
