Drake Caggiula will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday.

The Chicago Blackhawks forward is facing discipline for an illegal check to the head of Edmonton Oilers forward Tyler Ennis.

The incident occurred with 12:18 remaining in the second period of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Caggiula was not given a penalty, and Ennis was able to finish the game.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
