Ryan Getzlaf, C (NHL.com rank: 188) -- The center is a safe target at his position for a fantasy bench spot even after having the lowest points-per-game average of his NHL career (0.61) last season. He has two young linemates in wings Sonny Milano (five points in nine games) and Danton Heinen (four points in nine games), each of whom was acquired by Anaheim on Feb. 24. A six-time 70-point scorer who reached 60 points as recently as 2017-18 (61), Getzlaf also could potentially be reunited with wing Rickard Rakell at even strength.

John Gibson, G (197) -- The Anaheim Ducks goalie is ranked outside the top 25 fantasy players at his position because of team concerns but has sneaky bounce-back appeal entering his prime at 27 years old with a .918 save percentage in 287 NHL games. Gibson, who reached 20 wins last season even though Anaheim had the fifth-worst points percentage (.472), was taken in the final round (191st pick) of NHL.com's first fantasy mock draft.
Rickard Rakell, LW/RW(207) -- The forward averaged nearly three shots on goal per game last season (186 SOG in 65 games; 2.9 per game) but had the worst shooting percentage (8.1) in a full season of his NHL career. A two-time 30-goal scorer (NHL career-high 34 in 2017-18), Rakell is another bounce-back candidate from the Ducks who can lead them in goals and points and potentially lift one of their young centers, either Sam Steel or rookie

31 in 31: Anaheim Ducks 2020-21 season preview

Kevin Shattenkirk, D (244) -- He had a bounce-back season for the Tampa Bay Lightning last season, scoring 34 points (eight goals, 26 assists) in 70 regular-season games (an 82-game pace of 40 points), and helped them win the Stanley Cup with 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 25 postseason games. Although Shattenkirk no longer has the luxury of frequent exposure to elite defenseman Victor Hedman at even strength, he'll have the chance to play on the first power-play unit. Shattenkirk has had four seasons of at least 20 power-play points in his NHL career.
Trevor Zegras, C (250) -- The No. 9 pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Zegras signed an entry-level contract on March 28 and should crack the Ducks lineup this season. The center, who scored 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 33 games with Boston University last season, could start on the third line but has a chance to move into the top six and/or onto the first power play over the course of the season. He is worth drafting in late rounds of a 14-team draft with an outside chance to emerge as a top five fantasy rookie this season.
Other players to consider in late rounds or off waiver wire: Cam Fowler, D; Max Comtois, LW/RW; Danton Heinen, LW/RW; Adam Henrique, C/LW; Jakob Silfverberg, RW
