TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Michael Eyssimont to a two-year, one-way contract worth an AAV of $800,000 vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Eyssimont, 26, was acquired by Tampa Bay on March 1, 2023 from San Jose in exchange for F Vladislav Namestnikov. The Littleton, Colo. native skated in 15 regular season games with the Lightning, posting a goal, two points and 22 penalty minutes. He made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in Game 1 of a First Round series at Toronto and notched his first playoff points after tallying a goal and an assist in Game 5 of the same series for the Lightning.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Eyssimont started the 2022-23 season with Winnipeg, where he recorded a goal and five points in 19 games before being claimed off waivers by San Jose on January 6, 2023. He notched three goals and eight points in 20 games with the Sharks.

Eyssimont made his NHL debut with Winnipeg April 11, 2022. He was a fifth-round draft selection (142nd overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2016 NHL Draft.
