Video: Kempe scores in OT to lead Kings to 4th straight win
Kings Notes:
Forward Adrian Kempe notched his 35th and 36th goals of the campaign on Sunday to establish a new single-season career high for goals in a season. The last Kings skater with more goals in a season was Ziggy Palffy (37) in 2002-03. Kempe sits two points shy of hitting the 60-point plateau for the first time in his career. Should he do so, he would be the first Swedish-born skater and third Swedish national to reach such mark in Kings history: Juha Widing (3x, 70 PTS in 1972-73; 65 PTS in 1970-71; 60 PTS in 1974-75) and Tomas Sandstrom (89 PTS in 1990-91).
Anze Kopitar (18) sits two goals shy of recording his second career 20-road goal season (22G in 2017-18). Only five skaters in Kings history have registered multiple 20-road goal seasons: Marcel Dionne (5x), Wayne Gretzky (2x), Bernie Nicholls (4x), Luc Robitaille (6x) and Charlie Simmer (3x).
Joonas Korpisalo has posted a 4-0-1 record in five games with the Kings since joining the organization. Among goaltenders to play in at least five games since the March 3 trade deadline, Korpisalo's 1.77 goals-against-average is tied with Minnesota's Filip Gustavsson for the league lead while his .929 save percentage is tied with Boston's Linus Ullmark for fourth-best in the league.
Viktor Arvidsson and Phillip Danault each notched three points in Sunday night's first period, becoming the third and fourth Kings players in the past ten years to record three or more points in the opening frame of a game, joining Kevin Fiala (2-1=3 on Feb. 18, 2022) and Jeff Carter (1-2=3 on Feb. 9, 2017).
The Kings are the only club this season to record four or more power-play goals in multiple games (4 PPG on Jan. 9 vs. EDM; 4 PPG on Mar. 26 vs. STL).
The Kings power play ranks 2nd in the NHL (25.7%).
The Kings penalty kill ranks 22nd in the NHL (75.4%).
The Kings are 4th in faceoff win percentage (53.2%).
Flames Notes:
As it stands, the Flames currently trail the Winnipeg Jets by four points for the eighth and final wildcard spot in the Western Conference. Each team has eight games remaining in the regular season.
The Flames have earned points in seven of their last 10 games (5-3-2).
The Flames lead the NHL in overtime and shotout losses with 15.

The Flames penalty kill ranks 10th in the NHL (81.9%).
The Flames are 16th in faceoff win percentage (50.6%).
Who to Watch:
Viktor Arvidsson, who earned the NHL's First Star of the Week this past week with seven points (5-2=7) in three games. Arvidsson's outstanding week has him up to 53 points (24-29=53) in 68 games this season.
