The Kings capped of the finale of their season series with Coyotes last night as they left Arizona with a 3-2 win, beating the desert dogs on the road for the second time in just five days. After a scoreless first period, the Kings fell behind 1-0 6:25 into the second period. That did not last long as Blake Lizotte responded quickly with a beautiful tip-in on a Mikey Anderson wrist shot from the point just 18 seconds after the Coyotes opening goal. Then, 52 seconds after the Lizotte goal, the Kings hottest line of Trevor Moore, Phillip Danault and Viktor Arvidsson teamed up for a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal with Arvidsson being the beneficiary.
The Coyotes knotted the game up at two later in the second period and the game went into the final period even. With just 3:39 remaining in the game, Viktor Arvidsson ripped home his second goal of the game and the game-winning goal, beating the Coyotes goalie high blocker.
Cal Petersen made his second straight appearance for the Kings and stopped 17 of 19 shots.
