Kings fans were treated to the Kings most complete game of the season on Monday, Halloween night against the St. Louis Blues. Highlighted by a four-goal second period, the Kings returned the favor of dominating the St. Louis Blues in Enterprise Center a year after being outscored 10-3 across two games.
Gabriel Vilardi started the scoring when he tapped in a beautiful cross-ice pass from Kevin Fiala 13:12 into the opening period. The goal was Vilardi's 8th on the year, putting him tied for second in the NHL in goalscoring, trailing only Connor McDavid (9). Moving into the second period, the Kings onslaught began as the black, silver and white piped in four goals. Pushing their lead out to 5-0 was a pair of Carl Grundstrom goals and tally's from Anze Kopitar at full strength and Arthur Kaliyev on the power play. Grundstrom's two-goal game marked the second multi-goal game of his career. The Kings five total goals in just 29:59 of gameplay also resulted in Blues goalie Jordan Binnington being pulled for Thomas Greiss after stopping 14 of 19 shots.
The Blues did get one goal, but Jonathan was stellar when he needed to be, stopping 27 of 28 shots.
The decisive win also marked Todd McLellan's 100th career win with the Kings, the fourth fastest to the century mark in franchise history.

The Kings have a quick turnaround and are set to play the Dallas Stars in Dallas on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. It will be their second set back-to-back's on the season.
