WELCOME BACK DEMELO
The Winnipeg Jets will welcome back defenceman Dylan DeMelo to the lineup tonight. DeMelo missed the road trip out east to remain with his wife and newborn son in Winnipeg. He will slot in alongside Josh Morrissey on the team's top defence pairing.
"That's the expectation from myself is to step in and do what I do," said DeMelo this morning.
"Play my game and help this team get a win tonight."

NEW CHAPTER FOR THE JETS
The Jets traded Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic to Columbus for Pierre Luc Dubois and a 2022 third round pick this morning. Dubois will not be in the lineup tonight and will have to quarantine for two weeks upon arrival. That being said it is a dramatic change for the Jets after Laine played here for just over four seasons and Roslovic for three.
"It's always tough when you have a guy leaving your room. Trades on game days, this happened prior to the morning skate," said Paul Maurice.
"I think we'll be right tonight. I think our energy will be good."
BAD BLOOD
This will be the third consecutive meeting between the Jets and Senators with Winnipeg taking the first two in Ottawa. Emotions were starting to spill over on the ice Tuesday night during the Jets 4-1 win. There was a massive scrum involving multiple players that saw Nathan Beaulieu and Brady Tkachuk fight and Blake Wheeler and Eric Gudbranson tangle up. The first period will be interesting to watch.
POWER PLAY WILL BE KEY
Should Ottawa come at the Jets for a physical standpoint then expect the Winnipeg power play to have a big role this evening. The Jets did end up 0-7 on Thursday but their puck movement was good, Ottawa just did an admirable job keeping things to the outside.
"I would expect that energy to be high early in the game," said Maurice.
"But you're probably not winning a hockey game if you're spending a lot of time in the penalty box."
HELLY BEING HELLY
After a much-needed night off Connor Hellebuyck stopped 28 of 29 shots against the Sens on Thursday. Hellebuyck missed out on his 21st career shutout when Chris Tierney scored with 2:57 left in the third. Hellebuyck also recorded his 150th career win on Thursday and is now two back of Ondrej Pavelec's franchise record 152 wins.
