Tanev, 25, played in 51 games for the Jets last season and had four points (2G, 2A) and 26 penalty minutes. He also played in 23 games for the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season and had nine points (2G, 7A) and 13 PIMs. Tanev was an undrafted free agent who signed with the Jets organization on March 30, 2016 following four years with Providence College.
