John Tavares and Josh Bailey both got on the scoresheet at Sunday's NHL All-Star Game, picking up assists on a Kris Letang goal, but it was not enough to help the Metro Division, as they lost 7-4 to the Atlantic.
Bailey hit Tavares with an outlet pass and the captain made a great individual effort, deking into the Atlantic zone, spinning off Auston Matthews and feeding Letang.

"It was fun. That's the biggest thing. Obviously would have liked to have moved on to the final game, but it was all in good fun," Bailey said. "It was good to get to know everyone a little better and ultimately it was just a great experience."
The loss to the Atlantic Division caps the All-Star Weekend for the Islanders' forwards. Bailey competed in the fastest skater competition, while Tavares was in the puck control relay at Saturday's skills competition.
"I really enjoyed the format," Tavares said of the three-on-three all-star game. "It keeps getting better every year and guys really embrace it and it's been a great weekend. Hopefully can be back in the future."
