Seven players from the PAL Islanders u16/u18 teams were drafted in the United States Hockey League last week.
The USHL is the nation's top junior league and is among the largest feeder systems at the NHL Draft each year. The USHL draft selects players from North America and Europe.
"Having seven players selected in the draft from one organization on Long Island and wearing the Islander jersey shows the strides we are making," PAL Islanders Director of Player Evaluation Bob Thornton said.

In the first phase of the USHL draft, for players with 2002 birth years, the following players were drafted:
In the second phase, involving all players with birth years before 2002, the following players were drafted:
O'Leary, Jiminez, and Hanley also committed to NCAA Division 1 programs - O'Leary at Cornell, Jiminez at Harvard, and Hanley at Northeastern.
