Palmieri

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) will not accompany the Islanders for their trip to Philadelphia, Head Coach Lane Lambert confirmed on Monday morning.
Palmieri has missed the past three games with an upper-body ailment. Simon Holmstrom, who made his NHL debut on Wednesday vs the Edmonton Oilers and recorded his first NHL point on Friday in Columbus, has filled in for Palmieri.

Palmieri has nine points (6G, 3A) in 20 games this season.
Additionally, the Islanders recalled defenseman Robin Salo on Monday morning. Salo was loaned to Bridgeport on Sunday, where he suited up for the Islanders' AHL affiliate and recorded an assist in Bridgeport's 6-4 win over Springfield. The 24-year-old defenseman has two goals in four games with the Islanders this season, but has not played since Oct. 20 against Detroit.
