Varlamov

Semyon Varlamov has been activated off the team's IR list, while Cory Schneider has been returned to the Bridgeport Islanders, the Islanders announced on Monday.
Varlamov missed the last six games after leaving the matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Dec. 17 late in the third frame with a lower body injury.
"I just felt a little discomfort in my groin area," Varlamov said. "That's why I didn't want to finish the game because in that moment, it could get worse."

"I'm excited to play and I'm feeling good," Varlamov said. "I've been skating the last couple of days and then I'm feeling really good physically and then I don't have any issues."
The Russian goaltender has made 12 starts for the Islanders this season, with an 8-3-1 record. Varlamov is sporting a .919 SV% this season with one shutout, in a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Dec. 4.
Schneider has a .921 SV% with Bridgeport this season, with a 10-3-2 record in his last 15 decisions. Schneider has not been in between the pipes for the Islanders this season; last season's sole start for the netminder was on Apr. 3, resulting in a 4-3 Islanders victory over the New Jersey Devils.
Head Coach Lane Lambert has not revealed which goaltender will be in net for Tuesday's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks.
