One day after being assigned to the Bridgeport Islanders, Robin Salo was recalled by the New York Islanders on Monday morning.
The 24-year-old defenseman has two goals in four games with the Islanders this season, but has not played since Oct. 20 against Detroit. Salo had 20 points (4G, 16A) in 40 games last year in Bridgeport.
Salo recorded two penalty minutes during Bridgeport's 1-0 loss to Providence on Sunday.
