Shane Prince was activated off injured reserve and loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for conditioning on Sunday. Thomas Hickey was placed on injured reserve (retroactive to Saturday night), which opened up a roster spot for Prince's activation.

Prince's conditioning assignment marks a major step forward in his recovery from ankle surgery in August. He first started practicing with the team in a non-contact jersey on Nov. 6 and has been a full participant since Nov. 17. The next step is getting game reps in with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, who play Sunday at 3 p.m. against Rochester.
Prince can stay in Bridgeport for up to two weeks (Dec. 23) on his conditioning assignment meaning he could play up to six games with the Sound Tigers.
The Islanders winger had 18 points (5G, 13A) in 50 games last season. Prince last saw game action on April 2.
