There was a big addition to New York Islanders practice on Sunday morning.
Logan Stanley, the 6'7", 231-lbs. defenseman, was on the ice after signing a one-year contract with the team earlier in the day.
While Stanley was a literally large addition to the group, there were also four subtractions on Sunday, as Kashawn Aitcheson, Cole Eiserman and Isaiah George were all assigned to AHL Hamilton. Goaltender Vitek Vanecek was placed on waivers for purposes of assignment.

SCHENN, SCHAEFER AND DEANGELO MISS PRACTICE
Brayden Schenn (lower body) and Matthew Schaefer (upper body) skated separately from the group on Sunday. Both players were held out of Saturday's preseason finale for precautionary reasons.
Defenseman Tony DeAngelo (maintenance) was also absent for Sunday's skate.
