Johnny Boychuk (upper body) practiced with the Islanders on Friday, his first skate with the team since suffering an upper-body ailment on Saturday (March 9) against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Boychuk will accompany the team on their upcoming two-game road trip to Detroit and Minnesota and is a possibility to play, according to Head Coach Barry Trotz.

CIZIKAS TAKES MAINTENANCE DAY:
Casey Cizikas was absent from Friday's practice, as he was given a maintenance day by the team staff. Trotz said Cizikas' tank was running low after battling a sickness last week, but the day off shouldn't impact the center's status for the weekend.
LEHNER TO START ON BACK-TO-BACK:
Robin Lehner will play one of the Islanders two games this weekend, as the goalie is healthy and ready to return to action. Lehner suffered an upper-body injury on March 5 that kept him sidelined for three games. Lehner returned to practice on Wednesday and backed up Thomas Greiss in Thursday's 2-1 win over Montreal.
