Here are this week's updates on Islander prospects:

George also tallied two assists in a win over the Flint Firebirds on Nov. 19 and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Nov. 20 for the three-game point streak.
George has played just nine games this year after suffering an upper-body injury in Islanders development camp. The Knights sit in sixth in the OHL's Western Conference standings.

MALINEN SCORES TWICE IN INTERNATIONAL PLAY

Aleksi Malinen scored two goals in three games for Finland's U20 team in the five-team World Junior tune-up tournament in Czechia last weekend. Malinen's first goal came in the second period of a blowout 8-2 win over one of the hosting Czechia teams, pulling the score to 6-1.
Malinen's second goal of the tournament came in the first period of a 6-1 win over Sweden and fellow Islander prospect Calle Odelius.
Finland ended the tournament on top of the table with an undefeated record.

LJUNGKRANTZ LIGHTS THE LAMP

Alexander Ljungkrantz scored the game winner for Brynäs IF against Färjestad on Nov. 19 with an incredible individual effort. Ljungkrantz corralled a bouncing puck on the rush, beat his defender and then sniped a shot past the goalie on the far side post.
Brynäs IF won the game 3-2, and sits in seventh in the SHL standings. Ljungkrantz has eight points (4G, 4A) in 19 games this season.

MAGGIO NAMED CAPTAIN

Matt Maggio was named captain of the Windsor Spitfires on Nov. 16. Maggio has played for Windsor since 2019-20, after being traded to his local team by the Ottawa 67s, where he played his first year. In his career so far for Windsor, Maggio has tallied 123 points (53G, 70A) in 128 games.
"(Maggio's) leadership not only in the ice by the way he works and competes every night but off the ice the way he treats his teammates and helps our young guys out," Windsor Head Coach Marc Savard told WindsorSpitfires.com. "He goes above and beyond when helping others and it is why this was an easy decision for our staff."
