Through 52 games this season, Newkirk has amassed 62 points (28G, 34A). The center has 15 power-play goals and five game-winning goals.
Newkirk and the Winterhawks have clinched a playoff spot and lead the WHL with 85 points and a record of 39-8-7.


COSKEY, JENKINS AND WILDE LIFT SAGINAW

Cole Coskey, Blade Jenkins and Bode Wilde all shined last week for the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL.
Coskey recorded six points (3G, 3A) in three games last week and extended his point streak to four games overall -- with seven points (3G, 4A) during that span. The Isles' 2017 seventh rounder (209th overall) earned third star of the game honors on Feb. 12 as he scored twice and recorded an assist in Saginaw's 7-5 victory over Sault Ste. Marie.
Through 54 games, Coskey is second on Saginaw's leaderboard with his 70 points (30G, 40A).
Jenkins scored twice while Coskey scored his ninth power-play goal of the season in Saginaw's 8-2 rout over Kitchener on Feb. 15. Jenkins was awarded the second star of the game honors with his two goals.
Jenkins has amassed 28 points (11G, 17A) through 29 games with the Spirit this season.
Wilde scored in his season debut with Saginaw on Feb. 12 after being reassigned from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The Isles' 2018 second rounder (41st overall) wasted no time getting back on the scoresheet, as scored on the power play in his first game back. Wilde posted two assists on Feb. 15, giving him three points in three games.
Coskey, Jenkins, Wilde and Saginaw are ranked third overall with 72 points and a record of 34-16-4.


ADAMS LIGHTS THE LAMP BACK-TO-BACK IN WEEKEND SWEEP

Collin Adams scored twice in North Dakota's series sweep over Denver. Adams scored the insurance goal and posted an assist as the Fighting Hawks defeated Denver 4-1 on Friday night. The Isles' 2016 sixth rounder (170th overall) scored his 10th goal of the season and sixth game-winning goal as North Dakota secured the sweep with a 3-1 victory on Saturday night.
Through 29 games of his junior season, Adams has 26 points (10G, 16A), including a team-leading six game-winning goals.
Adams and North Dakota continue to lead the NCAA with an overall record of 21-3-3. North Dakota also leads the NCHC with a conference record of 14-2-2.


SOROKIN SNATCHES EIGHTH SHUTOUT

In the KHL, Russian netminder Ilya Sorokin improved his record to 25-9-3 and recorded his eighth shutout of the season, as he made 22 saves as CSKA Moskova blanked Lokomotiv 1-0. Sorokin's eight shutouts are tied for the most in the KHL.
Sorokin and CSKA Moskova lead the KHL with 88 points and a record of 37-12-9.


SALO SCORES EIGHTH OF THE SEASON

Robin Salo found the back of the net for the eighth time this season in SaiPa's 5-2 loss to Assat on Feb. 12. Through 46 games this season, Salo has compiled 21 points (8G, 13A).
Salo and SaiPa are ranked 12th overall in Liiga with 53 points and a record of 14-4-3-28 (W-WO-LO-L)
